Guy Allan Pettet

Guy Allan Pettet, 66, of Bloomington, went home to our Lord on Monday, January 26, 2026. Born December 17, 1959, in Canton, he was the son of Billy Paul Pettet and Judith (E. Harold) Smith-Wright. Guy attended Lewistown High School and graduated class of 1978. He later attended classes at Central Bible College. Guy went on to work a 23 year career with the Illinois Department of Corrections, retiring in 2011. Survivors include his fiance, Ann Bailey; daughters, Nicole Pappalardo, Catherine (Michael) Smith, Trinity Pettet, and Erika Pettet; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings Glenn Pettet, William Pettet, Glenn (Regina) Wright, Connie (Lyle) Sears, Gloria (Bob) Simmons, Debbie Moore, Mary Ballard, Ruth (Bob) Lippert, Karen (Tim) Kamerad, Joleen Swearingen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Paul Pettet; mother, Judith Ann Smith-Wright; his dad, E. Harold Wright; sister, Kelly Jo (Pettet) Benavides; and grandson, Chance. Cremation has occurred in accordance to Guy’s wishes. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, February 7 at the First Assembly of God, 439 S. Orange Street, Havana. The celebration of life for Guy will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 7, also at the First Assembly of God with his daughter, Nicole Pappalardo officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to cover Guy’s end of life expenses.
