Charles “Chuck” W. Glick
Charles “Chuck” W. Glick, 90, of Peoria, entered his eternal home on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025. Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Havana to Walter G. and Edna K. (Osing) Glick, Chuck lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. He married Marlene I. Huning on June 23, 1956; she preceded him in death. In 2012, he married Lois “Loie” Zeigler, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Amy (Reza) Naqvi; grandchildren, Chantel (Jesse) Kuczmarski, Bryan Glick, Sarah, Abbas, and Laila Naqvi; great-grandson, Jacob Kuczmarski; sister, Beverly (Ralph) VanDixhorn; and two nieces. He was also blessed with the Zeigler family – Keith (Judy), Jeff (Laurie), Todd, family friend Donna Schwab – eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy “Tim” Glick. Chuck graduated from Havana High School in 1952 and Valparaiso University in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. He later earned a master’s degree from Bradley University. He worked as a civil engineer for 35 years with IDOT and another 15 for consulting firms. He loved bridges, antiques, postcards, cheering for the Braves and Cardinals, and serving his church. Visitation will be held from 9–9:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church Food Ministry.
