Jeanette “Jenny” Louise (Kipp) Clifford

Jeanette “Jenny” Louise (Kipp) Clifford, 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Havana on January 21, 1938 to Herman Henry Frederick Kipp and Laura Edyth (Borgelt) Kipp. Her parents preceded her in death. Jenny graduated from in 1956 from Lewistown High School which is located in Lewistown. She retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company and formerly owned and operated Clifford Furniture of Lewistown. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Hartford City and had formerly attended and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Canton. When her children were younger, she was a Sunday school teacher and director of the children’s choir at church. She was instrumental in the start up of the shawl ministry at First Church of the Nazarene in Hartford City. Jenny loved to knit and crochet. She could always be found working on a blanket for someone or some occasion. She loved fast cars and was known to have a heavy foot from time to time. She made the best spaghetti. She had great love for her children and her grandchildren. She will be missed by her daughters, Nanette “Nan” J. (husband, Randy) Fornoff of Havana,, Rev. Laura a. (husband, Rev. Steve) High of Hartford City and Lydia M. Poler of Havana; daughter-in-law, Kathy J. Clifford of Canton; grandchildren, Scotty Clifford, III, Matthew (wife, Julie) Clifford, Lauren (husband, Brian) Braskich, Krystal (husband, Luke) Pierce, Kimberly Lusk, Steven (wife, Amanda) High, Patrick (wife, Lisa) High, Jeanette (husband, Don) Benbow, Thomas (wife, Britny) High, Jacob Chambers (wife, Yen Le), Sarah Chambers (husband, Brian Koch), 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Laura Jane Lichtfuss of Loveland, CO; several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her son, Scotty “Scott” L. Clifford Jr., son-in-law, Jon Poler and grandson, Ryan Michael Clifford. Funeral service will be at 11 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1402 W. Water St., Hartford City with visitation being from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the church Graveside service will be at 2 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
