JoAnn Marie Taylor

JoAnn Marie Taylor, 91, of Chandlerville, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 7, 1933 in Havana to Clarence and Leta (Wendt) Trimpe. She married Dwayne Taylor on September 11, 1955 in Havana. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Dwayne Taylor; brother, William Clarence Trimpe of Havana; sister, Norma Jean Meehan of Astoria; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Marilyn Ruth McCoy and Paul Albert Trimpe; niece, Gina Lynn Meehan Taylor; and nephew, Gary McCoy. JoAnn was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana. She worked for the State of Illinois for many years. She and her husband enjoyed bowling and she also liked to help him at Crane Lake Game Preserve. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Rev. Ian Heinze will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in JoAnn’s name to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
