Jeanne Rae Stephens

Jeanne Rae Stephens, 41, of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Havana, passed away at 10:03 p.m. on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. She was born on August 21, 1983 in Pekin, to Todd and Helen (Pope) Stephens. Jeanne is survived by her father, Todd Stephens of Havana; brothers, Chad Stephens and Tyler (Jocelyn) Stephens; nephews, Clint, Ryder, and Wyatt; grandparents, Shirley Rae Stephens, David (Judy) Pope, and Gordon Morris; aunts and uncles, Geoff (Joyce) Stephens, Mike Stephens, Stephanie Stephens, Vince (Phil) Stephens, Lissa (Mike) Angus, Tammy (Ron) Payne, Rhonda (Mike) Howard, Debby (Dennis) Hoehn, Teresa (Rich) Sebelist, and Gordon Lee (Sherry) Morris; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen “Dee Dee” Stephens; grandmother, Betty Morris; and grandfather, Dudley Stephens. Jeanne was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana. She worked in healthcare and enjoyed helping others, often before herself. She was a talented artist and will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle nature. She always made friends wherever she went and will be greatly missed by her friends, neighbors and family. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private burial will be held at a later date at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorial donations may be made in Jeanne’s name to Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois (MHCWI) in Mt. Sterling or St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
