Julia Ann Dodd

Julia Ann Dodd, née Newcomer, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 18, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on February 7, 1957, in Davenport Iowa, Julia was the daughter of Rosalie Thompson and Donald Newcomer, both of whom preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Julia devoted herself to her family, finding her greatest joy in raising her two children, Lelah Lillian Dodd and Devon Blaze Dodd. Her loving spirit extended to her two beloved grandchildren who brought her endless pride and happiness. Julia was also a cherished sister. She is survived by her sister Linda Anderson and her three brothers, Donny Newcomer, Stewart Newcomer, and Darin Richard. A celebration of Julia’s life will be held on September 7th at Duke’s Tavern in Chandlerville starting at 12 pm, where all who knew her are invited to share their memories and say their final goodbyes.
