Judith Ann Wright
Judith Ann Wright, 83, of Lewistown passed away Monday May 13, 2024 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. She was born August 26, 1940 in Canton the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Copeland) Smith. She married Bill Pettet. She later married Elliott “Harold” Wright on January 16, 1965 in Petersburg. He went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Marie Smith and Roy & Hazel Long, one daughter, Kelly Jo Pettet-Benavides, three brothers, Roy, Larry, and John Smith, and a great-grandson Wesley Prytherch. Surviving are nine children: Guy (Ann Bailey) Pettet of Bloomington, Connie (Lyle) Pettet-Sears of Adair, Mary Wright-Ballard of Athens, Ruth (Robert) Wright-Lippert of Havana, Karen (Tim) Wright-Kamerad of Muskegon, MI; and Joleen Wright-Swearingen of Lewistown, Debora (Tom) Wright-Moore of Milton, Glenn (Regina) Wright of Milton, Glenn Pettet of Oakford, 28 grandchildren, and 60 great-grandchildren. Judy was a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith. Judy had been a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader at the Havana Assembly of God and a girl scout leader. She also served as an election judge for Waterford Township. Judy enjoyed singing specials in church, crocheting, macrame, plants, canning, and liquid embroidery. Judy’s heart and home were open to anyone in need and she shared her love of God with them. She touched several over the years through her Christian faith and literally saved many souls and lives! Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday June 2nd at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Nicole (Pettet) Pappalardo officiating. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery at rural Lewistown. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Sunday June 2nd at the memorial home.
