Arletta Kay Leinweber

Arletta Kay Leinweber, 74, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 18. Arletta was born on June 10, 1948 in Pekin, the only daughter born to Paul and Florence (Shipp) Leinweber. She was raised alongside her five brothers on a farm in Easton. She graduated from Easton High School where she met her future husband Bill G. Lynn. They were united in marriage on August 3, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri. Survivors include her son, Kyle, of Davenport; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell (Stella) Leinweber, Mason City; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Robert, Kenneth, Stanley, and Clifford Leinweber. Arletta served as a VISTA Volunteer along with her husband, Bill, in Kansas City, Missouri, 1968-70. They also had Coffee, Tea, Etc. (Charleston) and Lynn’s Christmas Peanut Brittle, partnered with Bill’s mother (Connie Lynn). Arletta’s loves in here were her husband, son, kitties, baking cakes and sugar cookies. She was a devoted, attentive, caring wife and mother and her joyous nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Arletta K. Lynn, 74, of Davenport, will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport.
