Donald Leroy “Don” Sipe

Donald Leroy “Don” Sipe, 83, of Cairo, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 17 at the St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, MT result of a vehicle accident. Don was born on November 23, 1938 in Fulton County, the son of Howard and Frances (Loveland) Sipe. He served in the U. S. Army. Don was united in marriage to Alice C. Clardy on June 16, 1967 in Macon, MO. Don retired from Associated Electric Cooperative in Thomas Hill, MO after 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and enjoyed his horses, traveling, hunting and especially his grandchildren. Don is survived by his three children, Bill Grammer and his wife Karol of Warsaw, MO, David Grammer and his wife Marcia of Macon, MO, and Stacey Sipe of Macon, MO; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Taylor of Lewistown; nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Sipe on July 7, 2004; one daughter, Mary Alice Grammer on August 30, 2009; and twin brothers, Dean Sipe and Gene Sipe. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 29 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO with Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 am, Friday, at the funeral home. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund or the Jacksonville Assistance League.
