Alice L. Martin, 86, of Forest City passed away on Monday, May 30 at 9:41 p.m. at Timbercreek Nursing Home in Pekin. She was born on August 28, 1935 in Topeka to Virgil G. and Lelia Ann (McClughn) Martin. Alice is survived by her four children: James “Jim” R. (Nancy) Morris, Jr. of Forest City, Sonda (Glenn) Wright of Ludlow, Kentucky, Alice L. Morris of Kingman, Arizona, and William Charles Agee of Melbourne, Australia, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sister, Nancy Bitner of Quiver Beach, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lelia Marie Fitzgerald, grandson, Paul Lucas, seven sisters, and two brothers. Alice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Havana. She was a homemaker and sold Tupperware for many years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandkids. She was a big jokester and loved to laugh. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery near Topeka.
