Willie Mae Limback
Willie Mae Limback, 97, of Mason City passed away on Friday, June 3 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born on April 22, 1925 in Baton Rouge, LA to William and Mary (Murray) Carroll. On July 26, 1943 in Baton Rouge she married Edwin Limback who preceded her in death. Mae is survived by 5 children: June Huffer of Lincoln, Nancy Adams of MN, David Edwin (Nancy) Limback of MO, Cathy Hellrigel of Pekin and Linda (Louie) Wagner of Easton, 15 grandchildren: Jeff Huffer, Suzie Maxheimer, Sherri Clayton, Jeff Spencer, Jason Spencer, Julie Spencer, John Adams, Brian Limback, Erin Rasch, Andrea Limback, Dawn Roche’, Amy Nolan, Katie Hellrigel, Nicole Rose and Chad Wagner, 22 great-grandchildren: Zack Huffer, Ryan Huffer, Chad Maxheimer, Christopher Maxheimer, Amber Swink, Erich Maxheimer, Abby Clayton, Chase Clayton, Tyler Spencer, Jenna Spencer, Angel Spencer, Kaylee Spencer, Brandon Spencer, Allie Roche’, Erik Roche’, Joey Roche’, Ryan Nolan, Sarah Nolan, Jake Rose, Bryce Rose, Lucy Wagner and Elly Wagner, 2 great-great grandchildren: June Swink and Hazel Swink and a sister Kathryn De Laney. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 siblings: Gene Carroll, Leon Carroll and Betty Calandro. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in San Jose. She helped Edwin on the family farm and ran the household. She enjoyed gardening and sewing but most importantly she loved spending time with her family especially her many grandchildren. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 15757 N. CR. 3600 E. San Jose, IL. 62682, with Pastor David Jacob officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and go until the time of service at 11:00 also at the church. Burial to follow at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
