Harry “Butch” Rodgers, Jr.

Harry “Butch” Rodgers, Jr., 71, passed away on Thursday, May 26 at Arcadia Care Center in Auburn, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1951 in Peoria. Butch is survived by his parents, Harry, Sr. and Lois (Garber) Rodgers; his children, Heather Rodgers, Heidi (Jon) Jacobus, and Bart (Sarah) Rodgers; his grandchildren, Katie, Jack, and Carter Jacobus; and sister, Peg (Bob) Hager. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Steven. Butch was a 1969 graduate of Havana High School and retired from CAT. He never missed an Illini basketball game and could answer any classic rock trivia question. Stories of antics with friends and great times on the golf course were never in short supply. Dad, we will forever miss your sweet and gentle soul. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Dinah the Comfort Dog, care of Trinity Lutheran Church, 1201 W Jackson, Auburn, Illinois 62615.
