Jimmy Lee Waterworth

Jimmy Lee Waterworth, 80, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital, in Havana, at 6:35 p.m., on Sunday, December 5. He was born September 10, 1941, in Kilbourne to Floyd and Katherine (Eyman) Waterworth. He married Sandra Shore on March 23, 1971, in Havana. She survives. Mr. Waterworth is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Havana; two sons: Jason Waterworth of Havana, and Michael (Carrie) DeWees, of Naperville; two grandsons: William and Matthew DeWees; two sisters, Pat Drake of Minnesota and Sharon Grems of Rock Island; as well as one brother, Kenneth Waterworth of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Waterworth. Mr. Waterworth served in the US Army from 1964 until 1966. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over forty-five years. He was also a Shriner. He owned and operated Waterworth’s Restaurant in Havana for over 30 years, opening on December 7, 1975. He also owned Waterworth’s Corner Liquor in Petersburg. Cremation rites have been accorded and no public services are scheduled at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
