Doris K. Peterman

Doris K. Peterman, 65, of Summum, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 8 at her home. She was born on September 19, 1955 in Canton, the daughter of Clarence and Geraldine (Hobbs) Lane. Doris married George Peterman on December 6, 2010 in Lewistown. He survives. Also surviving are her two sons, Matthew Morgan of Liverpool and Kyle Andrew Morgan of Astoria, daughter, Autumn Abbott of Peoria, and granddaughter Charity. Two step children, Tammy and Ralph Morgan Jr. Two step-sons, Bocephus (Erica) Peterman of Astoria and Jesse Peterman of Pekin, two step-daughters, Cassandra Graham of Colchester and Cheyenne (Josh) Rutherford of Bristol, VA, seven grandchildren, two brothers, Jack (Lori) Lane Sr. of Bath and Dale Lane of Havana, four sisters, Ruth Lynch, Gertie (Robert Ross) Bubert, Sally Merwin, and Dessie (Wayne) Prater. She is preceded by her parents, sisters, Nancy Jean and older sister Betty Hughes, and three brothers, Jerry Lee, John Paul and Charles E Lane, Sr. Doris worked as a press operator for over 30 years at McClean Forge. She liked to garden and go fishing. She also enjoyed baking. She loved animals, such as chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, and dogs. Doris was a very loving person. She loved her children so very much that she would do without, so they had food and shelter. A visitation was held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday August 12 at Shawgo Memorial Home. Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. in the Summum Cemetery in Summum. Kevin Sager officiated. Memorials may be made to the Doris Peterman Memorial Fund.
