Colleen K. Otto, 83, of Lewistown, passed away at 6:41 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2 at Graham Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1937 in Havana to Calvin and Mabel Pierson Lippert. She married Frankey D. Otto on August 30, 1984 in Havana. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2019. She always said it was the best 35 years of her life. Colleen was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jim “Cookie” Cook; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Wilber Pierson and Charles “Butch” Lippert; two sister, Shirley Kelly and Dixie Watkins; and two infant siblings. Surviving are five children, Chuck (Lisa) Otto of Pekin, Jeannie (Ron) Baughman of Smithfield, Lila Putman of Bryant, Bobby (Bob) Hall of Lewistown, and Ida (Terry) McBride of Bryant; fourteen grandchildren, Tonya Thompson, Billy Davison, Donna Hebb, James Putman, Brandy Hough, Dennis Monn Jr., Heather Monn, Gina Cook, Tiffany McBride, Terrance McBride, Danny Cook, Jaimee Cook, Ryan Otto, and Andrew Otto; 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry “Buck” Pierson of Havana and Donald Lippert of Peoria; and two sisters, Loretta Hurt of Havana and Sharon Richardson of Bath. Colleen worked as a nurses aid at Clarytona Manor & Sunset Nursing Home. She also worked in the kitchen at Mason District Hospital. Colleen and Frank loved square dancing and camping, spending summer’s as the hostess greeting campers as they arrive with a laugh and a smile. Colleen had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories from her life, keeping everyone laughing on long country drives, one of her favorite pastimes. She also loved good books, yard sales, playing cards and going to the casino. Most importantly she loved life and her family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
