Shirley Jean O’Bryant

Shirley Jean O’Bryant, 91, of Hillsboro, formerly of Havana, passed away at Helia Health Care of Hillsboro, at 4:00 p.m., on Monday, February 1. She was born May 20, 1929, in Pekin, to Clinton and Dora (King) Marshall. he married Clinton O’Bryant on July 21, 1955, at Maples Mills. He preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. O’Bryant is survived by five children: Cheryl (Ron) Roat, Jerry O’Bryant, Jack (Jan) O’Bryant, Jean (Scott) Snow, Jane (Mike) Smith; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Karen Shaw, son Alan O’Bryant, as well as two grandsons: Curtis O’Bryant and Christopher White and great-grandson Gavin Roat. Mrs. O’Bryant was a member of the Havana Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Sue Roat will officiate. Burial will follow the services at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorial contributions may be made to Havana Church of the Nazarene. In accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines, masks will be worn inside the funeral home at all times, and the funeral service will be limited to a maximum of fifty people. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
