John Paul (J.P.) Thomas, 56, of Tallula went to heaven on January 8 at St. John’s Hospital. J.P. was born to James and Geraldine Thomas in Havana on November 30, 1964 He is survived by his parents and two sister, Betsy (Eddie) Griffith and Becky Conway and her significant other Paul Tart. Also surviving are his lifelong partner of twenty one years, Ann Webster, on daughter Krissin (Jason) Padgett of Springfield. J.P. had five grandchildren: Gabe, Bree, Clair, Ally and Ivy, three nephews, J.C. and Brandon Griffith and Johnnie Conway of Bath, two nieces Frances Griffith and Dena Conway, Three Great nieces, Claira Newcomer, Olivia Conway and Lilly Johnson. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles cousins and many many friends He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Versie Richardson, James and Frances Thomas and Frances later married Charles DeFord, five uncles and one aunt on his maternal side, as well as one uncle and one aunt on his paternal side. J.P. went to Balyki High School. He was a truck driver, farmer, dog trainer and dog lover .He loved to hunt and he lived life to the fullest. He will be missed dearly and he will forever be in our hearts. Due to COVID restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later time.
