Garry J. Zeck

Garry J. Zeck, 58 of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Mason City passed away on December 9 at his home. He was born on January 13, 1962 in Springfield to Donald and Doris (Wilson) Zeck. Garry is survived by his siblings: Bill (Brenda) Zeck of Third Lake, Randy (Brenda) Zeck of Mason City, and Kathy (Bill) Zeck-Kennedy of Plano, nephews: Steven, Gregory (Ashley) Zeck, Brady (Molly), Tanner (Mikayla), Wylie Zeck, Vincent, Christoph Meixelsperger, Alan, Jay Kennedy, Nick (Angela) Fox and great nephew Otto Zeck He graduated from Mason City High School in 1980 and received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 1984 and physiology in 1985 from Southern Illinois University. He worked for Sigma Chemical Company in St. Louis as a chemist from 1985 – 1998, he moved to Indianapolis, IN and began working at Eli Lilly as a consultant biochemist from 1998 until he passed. Garry was a member of the Mason City United Methodist Church. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, basketball especially March Madness and football. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Mason City Cemetery.
