Luanita Kruse

Luanita Kruse, 78, of LeRoy, formerly of Havana, passed away at her home on Monday, August 17. She was born on November 9, 1941 in Havana to William and Doris Jean (Painter) Towery. She married Herbert W. Kruse on March 22, 1961 in Havana. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993. Luanita is survived by her five children: Wesley (Terrie) Kruse, Cindy (Larry) Hinthorne, Johnny Bill (Kim) Kruse, Patrick (Hetta) Kruse, and Jeremy (Jessica) Kruse, eleven grandchildren: Kimberly Kruse, Jayden Wiens, Brick Hinthorne, Tanna Guyon, Jonathan Kruse, Jessica Kruse, Joseph Kruse, Alaina Kruse, Alivia Kruse, Benjamin Kruse, and Rebecca Kruse, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Willard Towery, Jeanette Riner, Juanita Ferguson, and Doretta Towery. Luanita was of the Presbyterian faith. She worked at Caterpillar as a piston builder. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 3:00 p.m., with a visitation to be held 30 minutes before from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pastor Ron Woodrum will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
