Betty Russell, 75, of Havana passed away on Wednesday, February 26 at 12:35 a.m. at her home. She was born on August 14, 1944 in Chicago to Thomas and Mary (Trentz) Mitchell. She married Jack Russell on August 24, 1968 in Cook County, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2019. Betty is survived by her daughter Christine Russell, grandchildren: Christopher Russell, Nicholas Russell and Epiphany Miller, and great-grandchildren: Symphony Lynn and Holden Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Patricia Phillips of Chicago. Betty worked as a secretary at the Logan/Mason County Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed shopping and animals, and was a loving and caring person to everyone. Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
