Dianne M. Siever, 76, of Havana, passed away at 3:15 p.m., on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Copper Creek Cottages in Lincoln. She was born in Elgin on January 12, 1943, to William and Marion (Drendel) Olson. She married Ronald D. Siever at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Elgin, on July 19, 1969. Mrs. Siever is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Havana; two sons: Brian (Cindy) Siever of Knoxville, and William Siever of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Rebecca, Alison, Griffin and Seth Siever; and two great-grandchildren; A.J. and Maleah. Also surviving is one brother, Robert Olson of Elgin,. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Siever was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana, where she taught 2nd grade CCD and had served as Director of Religious Education for several years. She was a teacher for over forty years. The last thirty-four years of her career were as a 2nd Grade teacher for Havana School District 126. The Rosary will be prayed from 5 to 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 18 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, followed immediately by visitation, which will be held until 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 19. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Fr. David Whiteside will officiate.
