Mildred Mae Lannery
Mildred Mae Lannery, age 96 of Ipava, passed away at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 14 at the Clayberg Nursing Center in Cuba. She was born on December 4, 1922 in Astoria, the daughter of Edward and Cora (Danner) Parry. She married Eldon R. Lannery on January 29, 1938 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Lannery, two brothers, Marshall and Floyd Parry, and two sisters, Velma Carey and Betty Geiman. Mildred is survived by one son, Gerald “Buck” (Sun) Lannery of Ipava; three daughters, Barbara (Merle) Tarvin of Topeka, Judy (Bob) Ogden of Ipava, and Coni McKay of Alexandria, MN; fourteen grandchildren: Jody Goodrich, Carla Fisher, Kristi Smith, Brian Lannery, Michael Lannery, Darcy Brannan, Rob Ogden, Chad Ogden, Julie Ogden, Tracy Brown, Michelle Kelley, Mike Webber, Ryan Webber, and Nicki Taylor; twenty-two great-grandchildren: Christopher, Ashley, Arica, Andrew, Adam, Conner, Alex, Barin, Lauren, Jeremy, Tyler, Shane, Sarah, Sam, Lexi, Cole, Lucas, Rava, Noah, Jack, Ella, and Blayne, and ten great-great-grandchildren, Landon, Bella, Jayden, Jaxson, Jullian, Kynlee, Hadley, Jensen, Ryleigh, and Brooklynn. Mildred did painting and wallpapering. She was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau and the Ipava American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and watching the Wheel of Fortune game show. Services will be on Monday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Doug Krukewitt will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Sheldons Grove Cemetery, Browning. Memorials may be made to the Ipava Ballpark.
