Sylvia P. Rowe, 94, of Havana, passed away at Havana Health Care at 8:55 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She was born August 4, 1924 in Havana, to Arthur and Lavona (Bell) Friedrich. She married Leon Rowe on September 4, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2014. Mrs. Rowe is survived by two sisters, Faye (Dale) Turner of Havana, Janice (Delbert) Wilcoxen of Havana, brother, Wayne (Mary) Friedrich of Washington, sister-in-laws, Judy Friedrich and Marjorie Friedrich, both of Havana, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Robert and Lloyd Friedrich. Mrs. Rowe was a lifetime member of the Havana Church of Christ. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed raising flowers, tomatoes and various other vegetables. Funeral services will be held at Havana Church of Christ on Monday, January 14 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Bill Boyce will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ – Kitchen Fund.
