Arnell Freeman

Arnell Freeman, 88, of Havana, passed away at Havana Health Care at 8:54 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born May 17, 1930 in Holiday, Tennessee, to Joe and Clara (Russell) Newsome. She married William Freeman on October 19, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2002. Mrs. Freeman is survived by four children: Leonard (Nadine) Freeman of Havana, Patricia (Aaron) Wilcoxson of Easton, Donna (Lee) DeBolt of Metamora and Jim (Vivian) Freeman of Havana; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Ray (Edith) Newsome of Tennessee and one sister, Odell Fowler of Jerseyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Faye Newsome and one daughter, Sue (Dale) Richardson. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Kilbourne Baptist Church. She collected antiques for many years. Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Kilbourne Cemetery. Rev. Abraham Mogerman will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Kilbourne Baptist Church.
