Marcelle Taylor

Marcelle Taylor of Townley, AL, went home to sing with the angels on April 9, 2018. She was born in Strong, AR on Feb. 13, 1924. She married Sterling Barr on April 30, 1939 in Commerce, TX. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19 ,1993. She later married Thomas F DeMoss on Dec. 22, 1999, he also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Sterling Max Barr, and one daughter, Linda Diane Barr, and two granddaughters, Marcy Lefler and Terri Barr. She is survived by her children; Dennis E Barr of Duncan mills, Rusty Barr of Lewistown, Toni Lutrick of Nashville, TN, and Angela Beard of Townley, AL nine grandchildren 12 great grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren and several step- grandchildren. Grave side services will be held at 1 p.m. on June 23 in Dumferline at High Bridge Cemetery with pastor Kevin Vantine officiating. She will be greatly missed by her children and they hope to see all her family and friends at the celebration of life that will follow at the Red Roof Country Music Barn in Lewistown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in care of Angela Beard at the Prairie State Bank in Lewistown. Proceeds will be used for burial expenses.
