Harmon “Tom” Moore, 89, of Havana passed away at his home at 8:12 a.m. on Friday, December 29. He was born on January 19, 1928 in Marietta to John “Jack” Bloyce and Meta (Bartlett) Moore. He married Barbara Jean “Poochie” Watson on February 10, 1950. Mr. Moore is survived by five children; Michael Moore, Margo “Cricket” (Larry) Haubensak, Penny Gray, Glenna (Steve) Mount, and Thomas Moore, all of Havana, four grandchildren; Jeremy (Lyn) Cole, Stacey (Mike) Spencer, Zachery Gray, and Zane Gray, and five great-grandchildren; Reagan and Ethan Cole, Evan Spencer, and Jaxen and William Gray. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Havana High School. He owned Skateland in Havana, Freeport, Rockford, Loves Park, Springfield (Skateland North), and Lincoln for many years. He retired from International Harvester. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Judy Vidakovich will officiate. Burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Havana High School Athletic Department.
