Horace “Bud” Franklin Sisson, Jr., 77, of Kilbourne, passed away at his home at 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born December 26, 1939 in Kilbourne, to Horace Franklin Sr., and Ruth (Lynn) Sisson. He married Doris Fry on November 15, 1963 in Kilbourne. Bud is survived by his wife, Doris, of Kilbourne, two daughters, Susan (Jon) Lacey of Havana and Kelly (Jim) Lascelles of Ipava, as well as five grandchildren. Also surviving are brother, Robert (Lyn) Sisson of Springfield and Sandra Ebert of Kilbourne. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Deanna Butler. Bud was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Kilbourne. He worked for Caterpillar Inc., in the foundry, for twenty-six years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Kilbourne Fire Department, BLS and Township Board. He had also been active with the Mason County 4-H Fair. A memorial service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Ed Ingram will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Kilbourne Cemetery. Bud’s family has requested casual dress for the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Kilbourne Fire Department or Mt.
