Beulah Carlock

Beulah “Rose” Carlock, 94, of Chandlerville, passed from death to life to with with her Lord and Savior on April 28, 2016. She was born to Charles and Elva (Smith) Hopps, January 30, 1922 on Knapps Island in Mason County. She married Carroll E. “Bucko” Carlock, Sr., April 18, 1938.He preceded her in death on December 31, 1998.
She is survived by four siblings; Bobby Rhoades Sr., Maxine Davis, Ray (Judy) Rhoades and Joyce Whittaesly. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by six children; Carroll E. (Mary) Carlock, Jr., Gwendolyn (Don) Dirks, Peggy (Jack) Culp, Thomas L. (Joyce) Carlock, Sr., Gregory D. (Betty) Carlock, Sr., Hal E. (Bonnie) Carlock. She is survived by 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was devoted to God and spent many years ministering to her children and grandchildren, passing on her musical talent and spent many hours, playing, singing, “yodeling” at nursing home and Burgoo.

Visitation will be held at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Graveside services will be held at Chandlerville Cemetery immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Hugh Carlock and Tommy Carlock will officiate.
