Stephen Zellers

Stephen L. Zellers, 73, of Good Hope, Illinois, formerly of Mantanzas Beach, passed away 5:15 PM Tuesday March 1, 2016 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 6, 1942 in Springfield, Illinois to Maxwell and Margaret Vincent Zellers; he married Cheri Elliott on July 26, 2002. She survives.
Also surviving are his 3 children, Roger (Teri) Zellers of Sciota, Illinois, Stepheni (Kory) Phillips of Rock Island, Illinois, Michael (Dana) Zellers of Middleburg, Florida; 2 stepchildren, Adam Stoneking of Sarasota, Florida, Corey (Steph) Stoneking of Pekin, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Mindy, Jessica, Jennifer, Drake, Zack, Jared, Nichole, Nathan, Noah, Braden, several great-grandchildren, and 1 sister, Frances Wilson of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Arthur Zellers; and a sister, Doris Sager.
He worked for Western Illinois University as an Elevator Mechanic from 1978-2002.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 7, 2016 at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb, where visitation will be Sunday March 6, form 2-4 PM.  Rev. Jon Keck will officiate. Cremation has been accorded. Burial of Ashes will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or MDH Home Healthcare.
