James Deushsane

James Jim “Tut” Deushane, 78, of rural Lewistown passed away at 12:58 a.m. Friday February 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born September 17, 1937 at St. David the son of Vilas and Marion (Seward) Deushane. He married Anna Lea Haacke on October 22, 1955 at Palmyra, MO. She survives. Also surviving are six children, Debra (Don) Ward of Crocker, MO; Becky (Terry) Pigg of Lewistown, James E. Deushane also of Lewistown, Terry (fiancée Jessica Singleton) Deushane of Cedartown, GA; Floyd Ray Deushane of St. David, and Lloyd J. (Lisa) Deushane of Lewistown, one sister, Carol (Jim) Wilcoxen of rural Lewistown, and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Deushane of St. David, twelve grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Jim worked at International Harvester / Navistar at the Canton and Springfield, OH plants retiring with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Illinois Valley Fox Hunters Association and the Archery Club in Lewistown and had served as president for both clubs. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and selling produce at farmers markets in Lewistown and Canton.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Pastor Mike Floyd officiated. Burial was held in Waterford Cemetery at rural Lewistown. Visitation was held Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the memorial home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
