Nelda Parker

Nelda J. Parker, 81, Astoria passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 8:15 a.m. at      her sons home in Astoria, IL. She was born on  April 1, 1934 at Woodland Township, Fulton County. 
Her parents are Carl and Ferne (Beaty) Schisler 
She married Carroll Parker on July 10, 1954 in Summum, IL. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2003.
Survivors are Son-Greg (and Debby) Parker of Hurst, IL, Son- Gerry (and Teresa) Parker of Bath, IL, Son- Gale (and Georgia) Parker of Astoria, IL, 8 grandchildren: Jason (and Rebekah) Parker, Jessica Parker, Zach (and Elizabeth) Parker, Brittany Parker, Natasha (and Levi) Benton, Elizabeth Parker, Dallas Parker, Amanda Parker and Bryan Parker, 4 great-grandchildren: Addison, Logan and Nathaniel Parker and Chase Benton, Sister- Melba Collins of Macomb, Sister- Bessie (and George) Pempek of Springfield, Sister- Carolyn (and Carroll) Holloway of Chillicothe, IL 
She is preceded in death by Son- Geffrey Parker. 
She was a Homemaker.  She also worked at Kost Drug Store in Astoria before she was married.
Browning Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star in Ipava, Daughters of the American Revolution. Nelda also enjoyed to cooking and sewing and loved her children and grandchildren.     
Eastern Star services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 with funeral services to immediately follow. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate.
Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, IL
Visitation was held at 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the funeral home 
Interment will be held at the Astoria Cemetery
