Harvey A. Cooper, 83, of Havana, IL passed away on November 25, 2015 at 6:39 pm at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born on August 20, 1932 in Havana, IL the son of William and Dorothy (High) Cooper. He married Rosalie Stockham on October 11, 1957 in Havana, IL, she survives.
Harvey is survived by three children, Allan (Brenda) Cooper of Mt. Sterling, IL, Doriane (Stuart) Newcomer of Chandlerville, IL and Brock (Jessi) Cooper of Mendota, IL, five grandsons, Jacob Cooper, Josh Decker, Kyan Cooper, Jaxon Cooper, and Devin Cooper, two Granddaughters, Nicole Newcomer, Courtney Cooper, one great granddaughter, Kailynn Waugh, and two great grandsons, Henry Cooper and Brandon Waugh. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Aiden Cooper.
Harvey served in the U.S. Navy and was a factory worker who worked for Dana and Mobil from which he later retired.
A memorial service will be held for Harvey on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Central Christian Church in Havana, IL at 1 p.m. Memorials for Harvey May be made to the VFW Post #6408.
