Floyd Wendall Toland

Floyd Wendall Toland, 86, of Chicago, passed away at his sister’s home, in Delavan, at 2:10 p.m., on Friday, November 29, 2024. He was born March 14, 1938, in Lynchburg Township, to Floyd and Dortha (Miller) Toland. Mr. Toland is survived by one sister: Vicki Lea (Dale) Stout, of Delavan; and one brother: Milan Ray Toland, of Petersburg; as well as a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Toland was a member of The Moody Church in Chicago, where he served as a Deacon. Locally, he grew up in the Baptist faith, attending Chandlerville Baptist Church, in Chandlerville. He owned and operated Toland’s Remodeling. He retired from Navistar after 30 years. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Friday December 13th, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Western Illinois University, or The Moody Church in Chicago.
