Patricia G. Crommett

Patricia G. Crommett, 92, of Lewistown passed away at 3 a.m. February 7, 2020 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born June 9, 1927 at Warwick, North Dakota the daughter of Edgar A. and Vera (Marrs) Crommett. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Crommett and sister Carley Bradley. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Crommett, nieces Marjorie Bradley Karman, Susan Crommett Mason, Leslie Crommett Esslinger, nephews Tom Bradley, Larry Bradley and Todd Crommett as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. She graduated from Lewistown High School and received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Macalester University in St. Paul, Minnesota. After college she taught high school English in Bath before moving to St. Louis, Missouri where she earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis and taught elementary school for numerous years before returning back to Illinois. She resided in Lewistown until her death. She was heavily involved in the Spoon River Drive held at Duncan Mills. She was also involved in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society, and was publisher and author of a fantasy novel and various short stories. She attended the Lewistown United Methodist Church. Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Friday, February 21 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Reverend Shane Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, February 21 at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
