2020 Census Hiring event
A census recruiter will be there to give information on the upcoming jobs with the 2020 census taker positions and help those who need it apply online at 2020census.gov/jobs. The application hiring event will be from 2pm – 5pm at Havana library. The jobs pay $15.50/hr for mason, menard, cass, and Fulton county. They are paid weekly, paid mileage, and have flexible hours.

This great event is for the whole family. Thousands of classic car enthusiasts and bike lovers come to the area to see restored cars, special vehicles, and custom motorcycles. More than 350 cars and 100 bikes are on display each year. We feature food, music, and free kids’ activities!

Research shows that close family members are typically the first to notice memory concerns in their loved ones. However, they are often hesitant to say something. If someone you know has begun to exhibit signs of dementia, it’s time to talk. But these conversations can be difficult and uncomfortable. Join us to learn how to have the conversation about the memory changes you’ve noticed. Learn tips to reduce the stress related to doctor’s visits, how to decide when to stop driving, and the importance of legal and financial planning.
Daryl Carlson, Manager, Education & Outreach, will present and take questions following the program. A light continental breakfast will be provided. Registration is required by Monday, June 17, 2019

Nature Walk for Health Series
Join us on the fourth Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m., April-October, to walk in nature and learn about our local environment. Fun wildlife stories and facts are sure to be plentiful!
