Scottie Dean Crear

Scottie Dean Crear, 52, of Topeka passed away at his home with his long-time partner, Holly Gudat, at his side on Monday, July 10, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1971 in Carthage to Virgil Dean and Carol Lynn Crear. Scottie is survived by his partner, Holly Gudat; daughters, Lauren A. (Andrew) McCune and Karlie N. (Jacie) Crear; step-daughter, Samantha N. (Joey) Southard; grandchildren, Barrett L. Southard and Nelson M. McCune; and parents, Virgil and Carol Crear. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Steven Manker and fur baby, Ivan. Scottie worked as a carpenter for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and dogs. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned at this time.
