Todd Alan Watson

Todd Alan Watson, 61, of Browning, passed away at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, in St. Louis, at 1:05 p.m., on Friday, April 7, 2023. He was born December 8, 1961, in Rushville, Illinois, to Donald Louis and Carolyn K. (Rose) Watson. He married Sara J. Powell on August 30, 1997, in Astoria. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Sara, of Browning; three children: Brian (Dorothy Wartenbe) Todd, of Springfield, Preston Riley (Madison Conner) Watson, stationed in Germany, and Kenley Elizabeth (Aaron Miller) Watson, of Browning; as well as granddog, Baxter. Also surviving are one brother: Donald (Becky) Watson, Jr., and one sister, Melissa (Chris) Shaw, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Mr. Watson loved to cook. He had recently won a soup cook-off three years in a row. His dream was to own a pizzeria with a ceiling high enough to throw the dough. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a third generation mechanic, owning and operating Curley’s Auto Repair, in Astoria. His family owned the business, started by his grandfather, since 1954. He was known to be a dancer by heart, if not necessarily by profession. Visitation was held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Graveside services were Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Astoria Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to the Curley Auto Repair / Todd Watson Memorial Scholarship.
