Billy Lee Stadsholt

Billy Lee Stadsholt, 75, of Mason City passed away on Sunday, November 20 at Pekin Manor Nursing Home in Pekin. He was born on February 14, 1947 in Pekin to William E. and Marjorie M. (Rabbe) Stadsholt. On July 13, 1974 he married Barbara Painter in Springfield. Bill is survived by daughters, Susan (Andras) Kelly- Eder of Peoria and Shari (Ron) Klassen of Mason City, grandchildren, Kellie Klassen, Kortnie (Joey) Cooper, Kaytie Klassen, great- grandchildren, Carter, Ryker, Arabella, Izabella, and brother, Robert (Donna) Stadsholt of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, and son William “Billy” Stadsholt. Bill retired from Caterpillar as a tool and die maker. Between Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl, he had over 30 years dedicated to raising money to keep waterfowl hunting prevalent in the area. He was cofounder of the very first Delta Waterfowl chapter. He was an avid hunter. Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29 at Mason City Cemetery. Pastor Brian Durbin will officiate. Lunch will follow at Mason City Community Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Waterfowl Foundation, 1412 Basin Ave. Bismarck, ND 58504.
