Wilson Dean Wickman

Wilson Dean Wickman, 59, of Havana passed away at 4:31 p.m. on Thursday, November 10 at Mason District Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1963 in Havana to Roger and Ruth Ann (O’Grady) Wickman. He married Debbie Foster in Havana on November 3, 1994 and she survives. Dean is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Wickman, of Havana; one son, Luke Wickman of Havana; step-daughters: Jill Friend, and Sarah Celeste (Ian) Martin; grandchildren, Christian Ryan Martin, Lylah Grace Martin, and Adree Opal Friend; ; siblings, Troy (Lori) Wickman of Havana and Marianne (Kevin) Cross of Havana; half-brother, Marty Wickman of Prue, Oklahoma; and nieces and nephews, Taylor (Alli) Walker, Tory Wickman, Taryn Wickman, Brent Cave, and April Ciletti. He was preceded in death by his father; uncle, Jack O’Grady; and brothers, Rory and Loren Wickman. Dean was baptized in the Baptist church. He attended Spoon River College where he played baseball for one year. He worked for many years at the power plant on the coal docks and most recently at Sunrise FS Valley. Dean was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed coaching kids sports, and playing drums in local bands, as well as, sports hunting, and cooking. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Dean’s name to HHS Booster Club.
