Larry D. Wagner

Larry D. Wagner, age 63, departed this world August 27 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, after long debilitating illness. He was born July 10, 1959 in Lincoln. Larry was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. His family includes his mother, Lynette (John – deceased) Belcher of Mason Cit; his sister, Kelly Sims (Rory) Tucker of Mason City; his brothers, Danny Sims of Springfield, and Jeff Belcher of Mason City; three sons, Lucas Clenin (deceased), Daniel Clenin of Mason City, Zachery Wagner of Mason City; and Debra Wagner ex-wife and devoted caregiver of Mason City. Larry graduated from high school and worked on tug boats in Chicago for a number of years. In 1984 Larry married Debra White from Mt Pulaski. He went to school, got his CDL license and started trucking driving. After a few years, Larry went back school at DeVry in Chicago. Then in 1992, he moved the family to Apache Junction, AZ., where he finished his degree in Computer Technology and started working for Intel in Chandler, AZ. Larry was one of the technicians that developed the vending machine that uses computerized technology to retrieve products and places them in dispensing slot, very high tech at the time. Larry was always interested in motorcycles and traveled all over the United States. He loved camping and playing ball with his beloved dog Beamer. He also collected guns and old radios. He loved old time radio shows and tv shows. Larry has four granddaughters, Chloe Bailey, Lily Clenin (Cameron Moody) of Cottonwood, AZ, Cadance Moore of Phoenix, AZ and Caliopi Clenin of Mason City; two, great-granddaughters, Aaliyah and Ava Moody of Cottonwood, AZ. After returning to Mason City, Larry became active in Pets Without Parents and fostered many dogs. He loved his dogs and cats. Larry was very devoted to his mom Lynette and stepfather John Belcher (deceased). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Big Grove Cemetery in Mason City, Steve Bagby will be officiating.
