Ruth Hadsall-Braden

Ruth Hadsall-Braden, 85, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:51 a.m. on Friday, June 3 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 17, 1937 in Lewistown, a daughter of George Lincoln “Linc” and Jessie (Bennett) Hadsall. She married William “Bill” Braden on September 1, 1962 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2021. Also preceding her in death is her parents, one son, Dennis Monn, one grandson, one brother Doyle, and two sisters, Charlotte Hough, Willodene Lingenfelter. Surviving are her children, Earl (Mary Ann) Monn of Lewistown; Greg (Carla) Monn of Lewistown; Tim (Sue) Monn of Lewistown; Lisa (Norman) Lemaster of Havana; Billy (Lori) Braden of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way; two brothers, George Hadsall of Lewistown, John Hadsall of Pekin, and two sisters, Jo Pedigo of Havana, Edie Shockley of Canton. Ruth was a homemaker, and enjoyed taking care of others, as a caregiver. She was a member of Waterford Union Church in rural Lewistown. A graveside service and burial of ashes will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17 at Waterford Cemetery in rural Lewistown. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
