Anita L. Watson

Anita L. Watson, 73, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio peacefully passed away on Friday, December 17 in her loving husband’s arms. Anita was born May 15, 1948 in Canton the daughter of the late James and Della (Whitehead) Stephens. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6408. Anita enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, fishing, remodeling houses and if there was a garage sale – you would find her there! Her greatest joy was her family. Anita cherished every moment spent with them. Anita is survived by her husband, Kenneth Watson; daughters, Shawn (Tim) Cox Herdman, Michelle Cox Williams, Maggie (Kevin) Ortman Kidwell, and Michelle Watson; grandchildren, Brooke, Emmie, Ellie, Zack, Ian, Alana, Jacob, Justin, Jarrod, Korey, Tyler and Sidney; great granddaughter, Paisley; brothers, Dayton (Mary) Stephens and Doug (Sheila) Stephens; best friends, Marsha Chaney and Rhonda Riley as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew, James Stephens. Memorial services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, on Saturday, January 15 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
