Michael Edward Fornoff

Michael Edward Fornoff, 65, of Manito, passed away Wednesday morning, December 1 at Hopedale Nursing Home. He was born August 2, 1956, in Pekin to Robert Fornoff and the late Bernice Zielinski Fornoff. In addition to his father, Robert, Michael is survived by two sons, Ryan (Katrina) Fornoff and David Fornoff, four grandchildren, Callan, Jude, Jacob, and Ross Fornoff, his sister, Paula Charlton, all of Manito. Also surviving are a niece and two nephews. His mother Bernice, a brother, Mark Fornoff and two brother-in-laws, Rick Charlton, and Dannie Allen preceded in him in death. Mike spent his life working on the family farm after graduating from Forman High School in 1974. He enjoyed vacationing in the Ozarks and while there he loved to go boating with family and friends. Over the past few years Michael became a resident of the Hopedale Nursing Home. He considered it his 2nd home and loved the staff. The family is very grateful for the care and love provide to Michael and family during this time, and wishes to thank them for their loving care. The family will meet friends on Saturday, December 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 110 South Park Avenue, in Manito, with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Matthew Berndt will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Memorial Contributions in Michael’s honor may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, or the Meadow Lawn Cemetery fund.     Sonny Brown is sorry for the loss of Mike. He enjoyed talking to Mike. We just found out about this and wish the family well.
