John A. Friend

John A. Friend, 61, of Kilbourne, passed away at 1:00 p.m., on August 2. He was born March 3, 1960, in Canton to Ronald L. and Bonnie (Barker) Friend. John is survived by his mother, Bonnie, of Havana; five children: Jill, of Havana, Sarah, of Pekin, and Rose, Anabel and Caleb, all of Texas; as well as three grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Pam Holtmeyer and Lori (Jason) Beck, of Havana. He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Rick Holtmeyer. John was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, near Kilbourne. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
