Richard “Neil” Mohlman

Richard “Neil” Mohlman, 79, of Havana passed away at 7:40 p.m. on June 23 at home surrounded by his family. Neil was born January 20, 1942 in Canton the son of Clayton and Bertha Carper Mohlman. As a young man, Neil enlisted in the United States Navy. After his service, he served in law enforcement and ultimately became an electrician and local business owner serving the Havana area. He enjoyed photography and anything “Southwest”. Later in his life, he enjoyed woodworking and time with his grandchildren. Neil is survived by his wife, Mary Mohlman; children, Neil Mohlman, Maureen Courtney, Shawna Jones, Debbie Mohlman and Jeff Kerr; sisters, Margaret Mohlman and Jane Huggins; brother, Gene Mohlman; grandchildren, Kristen, Barbara, Alex, Tony, Dani, Austin, JT, Lakyn, Alexa, Dylan, Alyssa and 11 great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends. Neil was preceded in death by his parents and sister Benita Mohlman. The family of Neil has entrusted Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, Decatur with his funeral arrangements.
