Barbara Sue Bohm, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 31 at Havana Nursing Home. She was born August 17th, 1947 in Canton. She was the daughter of Elsie Lois (VanEtten) Francisco and Russell Howell. She married Dale Bohm on May 23rd, 1970 in Havana. They were married for 49 years. Dale passed away on January 9th, 2010. Surviving are her brothers Russell “Rusty” (Brenda) Howell of Marshall and Ronald Howell of LeRoy. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Tammy (Steve) Elledge, Russell Ryan (Heather) Howell, Rodney (Hannah) Howell, Brett Howell, and Stephanie Howell; great nieces and nephews Alexandra (Dustin) Martin, Charles Elledge, Hannah Howell, and Hayden Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell Howell and Elsie Lois Francisco, stepfather Charles Francisco, and spouse Dale Bohm. In her early years, Barbara enjoyed cooking and fishing with family. She was a devoted wife and enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara was also a big lover of animals, especially cats. Barb enjoyed her time with her mother. Going out to eat together was always a fun time for them. She was a very kind, gentle person and you could always find her with a smile on her face. Cremation services will be performed by the Schmidt-Haller Crematorium in East Peoria. Due to COVID-19, a private family burial of the remains and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified when this is arranged.
