Muriel Kay Garman, 72, of Forest City, passed away at 8:04 a.m., on Wednesday, January 6. She was born August 8, 1948, in Pekin to Ralph and Muriel Lorene (Zimmerman) Kreiling. She married Ronald Garman on December 30, 1968. He survives. She is also survived by Kirk (Monica) Garman of Manito and Kyle (DeEtte) Garman of Forest City; four grandchildren: Shelby, Braden, Kamden and Hayden; as well as one brother, Herman (Shirley) Kreiling, of Mendota. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Scott Ronald Garman and two grandchildren: Dawson Richard Garman and Lennon Rose Garman. Mrs. Garman was a member of Forest City Community Church, where she was active in the Church Women’s Activity Group. She also worked as the church Secretary and Bookkeeper for over forty years. Funeral services will be held at the Forest City Community Church on Saturday, January 9, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the services, also at the church. Burial will follow the services at Glendale Memorial Gardens, in Pekin. Rev. Frank Brozenac will officiate.
