Linda May Swinford

Linda May Swinford, 80, of Morton, formerly of Havana, passed away at The Lodge at Manito, on Friday, January 1. She was born May 29, 1940, in Peoria to Workman and Lonita (Segur) Luebeck. She married Jim Swinford on June 25, 1958, in Havana. Mrs. Swinford is survived by her husband, of Morton; two sons: Brad (Anne Semik) Swinford of Chicago and Mike (Kelly) Swinford, of Nashville, Tennessee; as well as two grandsons: Jacob and Cal Swinford, both of Nashville. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donnie Luebeck. Mrs. Swinford was a member of Morton United Methodist Church. She graduated from Havana High School in 1958. She later attended the University of Dayton, University of Cincinnati and University of New Mexico. She had worked as a Real Estate Agent for Jim Maloof Realty until her retirement in 2009. Private family services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to Morton United Methodist Church.
