Harvey H. Sisson, Jr., 87, of Kilbourne passed away on Sunday, December 27 at 2:07 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born on July 23, 1933 in Kilbourne to Harvey and Nina (Roloff) Sisson, Sr. He married Marilyn Sarko on August 11, 1972 in Rochester. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2017. Harvey is survived by his children: Stanton ”Sam” (Sheila) Sisson of Springfield, Kimberly Schriener of Colorado, Timothy (Kim) Sablotny of Taylorville, Thomas P. Sablotny of Texas, Tammy (Larry) Aulich of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, and Tracy (Steve) Eisenhauer of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Marie Clemons of Peoria, Marion Moss of Virginia, Marcus Sisson of Kilbourne, and Theodore (Shelby) Sisson of Kilbourne, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn, sisters: Geneva Gunther, Gladys Thompson, Betty Williamson, Margaret Skaggs, Joyce Lucas, and Nina Mae Hibner, and brothers: Franklin Sisson, Maurice Sisson, and Keith Sisson. Harvey worked as a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company for many years. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Bath Cemetery. Military detail will be provided by VFW Post #6408 and American Legion Post #138.
