Virgie A. Craig

Virgie A. Craig, 65, of Havana, passed away at Memorial Medical Center, in Springfield, at 2:50 p.m., on Tuesday, October 27. She was born July 13, 1955, in Paincourtville, Louisiana, to Robert and Helen (Daigle) Albarado. Mrs. Craig is survived by two children: Mary Craig of Tennessee and David Craig, of Havana, as well as three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nieces and four great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gloria Pitt. Mrs. Craig was a faithful servant of the Lord and an active member of Havana Church of Christ, where she enjoyed Bible Study and other activities. She had also been a member of Vision Support Group through JACIL. While living in Louisiana, she had assisted the elderly in their homes. Cremation rites have been accorded and a small family burial will be held at Ipava Cemetery on Tuesday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m.. A Celebration of Life will be held at her church, when more of her friends and family are able to gather together. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
